Mindsystems ThemeReader is powered by CiriLab's revolutionary 'Knowledge Engine' technology. This advanced new technology is able to quickly analyze a file or document and pick out recurrent or 'common' themes. The technology uses a highly complex set of algorithms and is so robust it can handle massive amounts of data in just seconds.

...but how does that differ from a search engine? A traditional search engine is only as smart as the definitions you give it. So this is fine, assuming you know everything about the topic you are researching. If you need to understand key ideas and concepts that you are yet to learn about, a traditional search engine is not going to do you much good at all!

Batch conversion...

Batch Convert allows you to process a whole group of documents in a single action. This is especially useful if you have a folder full of documents that all relate to each other but are separate files.  

You simply highlight a series of documents to be automatically processed, and select 'Mindsystems ThemeReader' from your right click menu. If the chosen output is MindManager the output is a single map for each document plus a overview multi map linking them all up.

The map output consists of a summary map hyper linked to the individually themed maps. There is only one requirement: All selected documents in a batch MUST be in the same folder. (see online help files for more info)

This technology uses a type of intelligent scanning that is able to accurately detect natural language patterns in text and apply a interpretation in a way a human researcher would.

Standard search engine technology provides a powerful indexing system, but even the largest search engines can't control the relevance of the information returned by a search. This is controlled by the content and how or where keywords appear in a document... not so with ThemeReader.

Our technology uses proprietary algorithms to extract the major thematic concepts within the document, processing information and understanding themes in the same way a human would.

This 'human AI' ability is what makes the technology so revolutionary when compared with normal search systems.

Using ThemeReader is easy!

1. Find the document you want to scan...
2. Right click on it and select 'Mindsystems ThemeReader',
3. Select 'Create Output' button,
4. View the results in MindManager or KnowledgeLink!

Adjust scan depth...

Mindsystems ThemeReader Business has a feature called 'Adjust Scan Depth'. This allows you to control the depth to which the document is themed, in effect deciding how closely the Knowledge Engine analyzes the information.

This type of control is useful when you only need a quick snap shot versus a full intensity analysis. If you leave the default 'Automatic' setting in place, ThemeReader will actually decide the most appropriate level for you based on document composition and relative size.

Normally it is recommended that this setting be left on 'Auto'. If you want the maximum level of detail (depth of analysis) 'Largest' can be selected, while a briefer summary map is produced by 'Smallest'. This function is accessed from the main console by clicking the 'Options' button and making the desired adjustment.

Note: The Knowledge Signature is described by the number of levels analyzed. For example a 6.2 signature produces six main themes with two sub-themes for each major theme.

Mindsystems ThemeReader uses advanced theme scanning technology to quickly and reliably detect common themes and concepts within a document.

This technology is based on years of high level research and involves many highly complex algorithms. The core application is so advanced it behaves in a multi-adaptive way based on what information you feed into it.

Therefore trying to provide a single answer as to exactly how the results are produced is not possible, as this will change based on what is provided. What you can be assured of is that the power and depth of the technology will provide the most comprehensive and accurate result possible.
